Rick was such a quiet person that some classmates teased  him about how shy he was, which definitely didn't produce any greater results. I exchanged some comments with him passing papers, etc. & noticed he would blush beet red. He was didn't feel the need to carry on long conversations, but I remember that after he knew you for awhile he felt comfortable to converse a little more. A little.
