Sorry to learn here about Bill's death.  He was quite a colorful character with his deliberate buzzer like voice and gift to gab.  I can remember building a float in his driveway during one of the Fall homecommings (He was class president, right?).  At our 10th reunion I remember talking to him about engineering.  He said the difference between the way I did engineering and the way he did engineering was that I figured out how to build things and he figured out ways to blow them up.... At the time Bill was a demolition engineer for the military.

I have a couple of distinct memories of Bill.  The first was when our class was trying to raise money for the junior senior prom and we held "The World's Largest Garage Sale."  I had the bright idea to put out flyers asking for donations.  When they started coming in, it occured to me I had no way to pick the larger items up.  I remember Bill came to the rescue with a larger vehicle that we  used to pick up a couch and other larger items.

The other memory I have is when school began in the fall of 1972 he spoke at an assembly in the gym (because he was class president?).  And i remember he devoted most of his time to the impact of the 1972 Munich massacre of 9 Israeli athletes.  Sure, I had read about them in the paper and had seen the coverage on t.v. but I hadn't stopped to think about the implications, political, religious, social... Bill was a natural leader and a charmer,  but he also was a hard worker and a deeper thinker than I had initially realized.  It would have been fun to see what kind of man he had become by our 40th renunion.

I never really knew Bill in highschool but I got to know him at our 25th HS reunion. We sat with Bill and Sally and ended up getting together many times after. Bill Sally and the kids would come down from Spooner every December to do Christmas shopping and would stay with us for the weekend. We got to know them well and witnessed their walk with the God.

Every now and then we would take a ride in his convertible (that he loved) and had a great time. Bill was a good man, husband and father, he is missed.

"Wedding Bell Blues," by the 5th Dimension, with its plea to "Bill!" was played a lot when were at WBL. Always made me think of Bill Terbilcox and sharing art class with him, and still does. Rest in Peace, Bill.
